Soundplant 45 hotkeys5/27/2023 Just drop some sound files onto onscreen keys and start jamming!īBC engineer Alistair McGhee calls Soundplant "a subtle & sophisticated sample player with a multitude & flexibility of playback options it works so beautifully in what it does it just demands a place in the audio toolbox." It can mix tons of sounds at once, queue playlists, trigger in the background with global hotkeys while using other apps, record its own output or any input (or both at the same time), and more, all with award-winning drag and drop ease and rock solid stability for live use. Soundplant is an ultra-low latency standalone software sampler allowing the instant playback of any format sound files from standard computer keyboard keys or MIDI, having become a beloved secret weapon of sound designers, DJs, podcasters, producers, gamers, and streamers. V.50.5 brings native Apple Silicon support for blazing performance on the latest M1/M2 Macs, randomizable realtime effects for expanded sound design possibilities, and flexible input recording for capturing from microphone (or any other source) while continuing to play sounds and mix live input with Soundplant's output. NEW YORK, J/PRNewswire/ - Independent developer Marcel Blum has released Soundplant® 50.5 for Windows and Mac, a major update to the venerable sound triggering software entering its 23rd year. Just don't forget to turn off your background key input (laughs) on your Soundplant, or as you're typing your next email, it's going to be really loud and filled with a lot of interesting sounds.QWERTY Soundboard App Turns Your Keyboard Into A Playable Instrument So, it's really fast and easy to use and you can add realtime sound effects to your character animation and you can even save the key maps where you design all your sounds to go onto your keyboard. (laughs) I just get such a kick out of that. Every time I hit it, I'm seeing the action and I'm hearing it. So, by turning it on, when Soundplant goes into the background, it will continue to work. So, again, it's working here but, it only works when the Soundplant software is on top and open at the moment. Wait a minute, where is the sound? Well, it's one of the options that in Soundplant that will allow us to use it. So, let's go back to Character Animator and I'm going to hit the Z key. So, when I hit the X key, that popping sound. I'm going to click open and you'll see it's attached. I'm going to come over here to open sound. Okay, now what I want to do is add a sound to my X key. So, this is the Soundplant software and I've already made the Z key attach to one my sounds. The great thing about Soundplant is it triggers sounds using your keyboard. And yes, I did buy a license for my use of it here. Now, Soundplant, just go to and the software is free to use for 25 sessions or you can make a small payment for having the professional version, being able to use it from then on. However, using this other great software I've found, Soundplant, which is available for both Mac and PC, you can do it. So, I'm not able to do that directly in Character Animator. So, I want sound effects to go along with that. And then, when I hit the X key, it explodes. So, this one, when I hit the Z key, his zit grows and goes back down. (playful music) I have two actions for my Bob character here that I want sound effects for as I record live. You just need to download one extra software. Do you want to have sound effects triggered with your actions? Well, luckily, it's easy to do.
